SDG COUNTIES, Ontario - On April 8, 2024, parts of North America will experience a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse event. St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) properties fall along the path of totality which will experience two to three minutes of total darkness at the height of the event, and which bypasses major cities like Toronto and Ottawa. Upper Canada Village is offering eclipse seekers of all ages a fun and safe opportunity to experience the total solar eclipse together along the beautiful backdrop of the St. Lawrence River in Morrisburg. Guests are welcome to congregate in the open area around the Battle of Crysler’s Farm National Historic Site, just west of the Village, for the afternoon. Admission is free, parking is paid and must be purchased online in advance. Guests can ride the miniature train for an extra fee.
